 Answer the following questions in about 3 to 5 sentences. 

a. What is meant by solar energy? 

Ans.

  • The energy obtained from the sun’s rays is called Solar energy solar energy. 
  • It is a renewable and eco-friendly source of energy. 
  • This energy is utilised in solar cookers and solar water heaters to produce heat.

b. When is sound energy produced?

Ans. When an object is set into vibration sound energy is produced. Sound energy needs a medium to travel such as air, water, metal, or even wood.


HOTS 

The sun is continously releasing heat energy. What would be the energy transformations that take place?

Ans,. For example Plants transform the Sun's light energy into chemical energy during the process of photosynthesis.
