5. antiseptic: a liquid or cream that prevents a cut, etc. from becoming infected

Ans: First aid is the first help given to an injured person before he receives any

formal medical aid or help.

 d. Why do we tie a tourniquet in case of snake bite?

Ans:  We tie a tourniquet in case of snake bite so as to stop the venom or poison from spreading quickly into the victim’s whole body.

 e. What will you do if a person has chemical burn?

Ans: In case of chemical burns, use plenty of water to wash off the chemical. Apply sterile gauze to the affected area. Rush the victim to a hospital.
